AMT Christmas Gift Guide

With just over a week to go until Christmas, now is the time to sort out any last minute presents or stocking fillers. And who better to recommend their favourite pieces for him and for her this season than the team in the Alice Made This studio? Here are the gifts that Alice, Ed, Amelia and Max would like to see underneath their trees this year.

“I love gold. For me it’s timeless and opulent. To gift the girls in my life, I would go for the Mia gold ring for its karmic geometry or the Esme necklace for its graphic statement. I would chose an Anning bracelet for a cheeky gift to myself. This will work beautifully with my gold Lapworth and Oscar bracelets as a stack.”

“The Erno gold cufflinks would be my one hit wonder gift! Architectural, textured and cast in a beautiful material - what more could a man want! The Morris key ring is the perfect gift for someone you may not know that well, but are keen to gift something 'just lovely’. It is one of the most useful things I own. It prevents me from losing my keys in my bag and allows me to hold them with ease whilst juggling children, bags and more!”

“The final product on my list is a B3 wedding ring. Ed and I got engaged on Christmas day and so a B3 platinum wedding ring seems like a nice reminder of this.”

“For the men - I’ve had my eye on the P4 18k gold for some time (hint hint), the minimal touch of gold looks so sophisticated and can be worn with a suit as well as dressed down with a heavy knit or Christmas jumper. I love the orange of the Bayley Esquire cufflinks. It’s so unusual and adds a splash of colour to your work outfit. The cufflinks and the bracelet together would be a killer sartorial combo! I’ve also chosen the copper pot for the man that’s difficult to buy for. It makes a beautiful desk accessory that can be used as a pen pot. The finishing piece to the ultimate desk!”

“For the women - I’ve gone for pieces in rose gold. It’s such a warm colour, which is perfect for this time of year. Rose gold also looks great when you wear a few pieces together. The shape of the Tio ring matches the tip of the Juno necklace so the two go together symmetrically. Adding a rose gold Lapworth bracelet will finish the look off nicely. Just enough hints of rose gold for a refined Christmas look.”

“For the wonderful women in my life it would have to be the Nola Quink patina necklace and the Dot rose gold necklace. I love the deep, black surface finish of the Nola (which seriously goes with everything) and personalising the Dot with your loved one’s initials would make for a gorgeous gift. I also think the Thistle patina pin by Jessica Bird is fab. Imagine it worn on your overcoat for your Christmas Day walk. Lovely!”

“For the guys, the Mixed material gift set has always been my firm favourite. You can give him the ultimate cufflink collection in one box and be playful with different styles and metals. I’m also a big fan of the Charlie white and silver bracelet and the Bacchus matte brass signet ring. Both can be engraved and both are so versatile. They look stylish dressed up or down.”

“The Charlie gold bracelet is a simple and beautiful piece that can complement a variety of outfits and occasions. I got one engraved for my sister and she adores it!”

“I wear the Dot mottled dog tag necklace every day. With its distinctly unique mottled pattern that glistens in the sunlight, it really ties together any outfit. I also love the B4 silver bracelet. With its blasted finish and innovative style and shape, it makes the ideal wearable present for loved ones.”

“When it comes to cufflinks, the Bayley sage cufflinks have mesmerising patina work and are a real showstopper to make any formal outfit. The Alvar gold cufflinks are great too as the gold catches the light on the cuff and they feature a timeless design.”
